Carolina Mountain Trail The Carolina Mountain Trail is 3.5 miles long and is an excellent place to start trail running. It includes a river and forest area that is great for running with your pets. Richland Balsam Nature Loop Trail Richland Balsam Nature Loop Trail is another pet-friendly running trail that you can try. Chestnut Ridge Trail is beautiful, and at the right time of the year, you will find all kinds of wildflowers growing on it.
